About Ben Austin

Ben is originally from Coudersport, PA which is a small town in north central PA.  He started playing golf at 12 years old and played golf on his high school team for 4 years.  During that time he played for his team at Districts for 3 of those years.  Ben originally went to college for Landscape Design at S.U.N.Y. Delhi in New York state but then changed careers in 2006.

Ben graduated from the Golf Academy of America in Orlando in 2007 where he earned his Teaching, Club Fitting, and Tournament Operations Certificates.  After graduation he then went to the prestigious Reynolds Lake Oconee in Georgia.  Ben was the Assistant Teaching Professional at the Reynolds Golf Academy and worked under Charlie King (Golf Digest Top 50, Golf Magazine Top 100), Karen Nicoletti (LPGA), and Bunky Henry (Georgia Golf Hall of Fame).

After Reynolds Golf Academy Ben then went to teach at GolfTec in King of Prussia, PA.  GolfTec uses video and Motion Analysis Technology to measure how the body turns, tilts, and bends.  His next step after GolfTec was the Lead Staff Instructor at the Deerfield Golf Club in Newark, DE. 

Ben was then a PGA Teaching Professional at the Dana Rader Golf School in Charlotte, NC. The Dana Rader Golf School is a Top 25 Golf School in America and a Golf Channel Academy.  Not only has Ben been under the leadership of Dana Rader (Golf Digest Top 50 and Golf Magazine Top 100), but he also became proficient with the BodiTrak pressure mat and FlightScope launch monitor. 

Ben is now the Teaching Professional at the DelCastle Golf Course in Newark, DE
